About Gaurav Lal
18+ years of experience in managing various verticals in Finance including Tax, Business finance and M&A. Primarily responsible for heading the Tax function for India, Mauritius, Sri-lanka and Bangladesh (South Asia) including Corporate tax, Indirect taxes and overall tax compliance. Being involved regularly on litigation management with advisors and counsels to mitigate the tax risk for the organization, have represented before various appellate levels including DRP and ITAT. In this role I have worked extensively on MAP and APA work with US, UK and Singapore regions. Working closely with Corporate tax teams on FIN48 and advising on various tax position both on GST / Service tax, Corporate tax and Transfer Pricing. Supporting Tax compliance and Tax advisory for Middle east countries.Along with my Tax profile, I am also responsible for FP & A lead for 2 key Business units for my organization, which broadly includes strategic P&L reviews, budgeting & forecasting, revenue pipe analysis and entire P&L management. Involved in RFP pricing and bidding process and supporting on project profitability. Advising on cost optimization levers for improving margins for business. Supporting various M&A deals for South Asia and Middle east advising on tax structuring. Worked extensively on entities integration framework which include project managing for slump sale, mergers/ acquisitions and liquidations. Partnered with key stakeholders on cash flow management, Statutory audits and Internal audits.Currently Serving as Board Member (5+ yrs) for multiple Legal entities in India. Avid reader and having keen interest on learning new dimensions of technology supporting business transformations.
