Gaurav Kumar is a Principal Wastewater Network Modeler at AECOM with over 12 years of experience in environmental studies, remote sensing, and GIS. He possesses a strong background in network modelling, environmental and social assessments, as well as biodiversity and forestry assessments using remote sensing and GIS technology. Gaurav has successfully contributed to water projects for notable organizations such as Thames Water, Scottish Water, Anglian Water, Southwest Water, and Central Coast Council (Australia). His expertise extends to gravity hydraulic modelling, urban flooding, and environmental and social risk assessments within these projects.During his tenure at his previous company, Gaurav earned recognition as the most valuable resource in the Rural Piped Water Supply Scheme across various districts of Karnataka. Additionally, he received accolades for his exceptional contribution as an Environment and Social Expert in the Project Management Consultancy Services for the Karnataka Urban Water Supply Modernization Project (KUWSMP), particularly the DBOE for Belagavi City 24x7 Pressurized Water Supply. He demonstrated exceptional efficiency by conducting rapid environmental and social impact assessments and developing management plans in compliance with bank guidelines and state regulations, all within record time. Gaurav played a vital role in numerous wastewater network projects and was commended at ATKINS with a bonus for his outstanding performance in model building and verification of the Stevenston Catchment (Scottish Water).
