About Gaurang Bham
I’m an iOS engineer with 6+ years of experience building and scaling mobile applications, with a focus on video streaming and playback systems used by tens of millions of users.Currently, I work at Comcast on the PlayerPlatform team, developing the core video engine that powers applications like Xfinity Stream, Peacock, and Sky. My work focuses on AVFoundation-based playback, FairPlay DRM, and HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), along with improving performance, reliability, and modernizing legacy systems into Swift-based frameworks.Earlier in my career, I worked across full-stack, iOS and DevOps roles at Johnson & Johnson, and have since built out both platform-level systems and user-facing features in production iOS applications. In addition to my professional experience, I founded and led development of Phoodie, a hyper-localized food delivery platform designed to help independent restaurants compete with larger marketplaces. I owned development across iOS, backend services (GraphQL, AWS), and product execution from concept to launch.I enjoy working on problems at the intersection of performance, scalability, and user experience — especially within video, media and commerce.Currently open to fully remote iOS opportunities (platform or product).
