During my articleship at EY, I worked in the audit and assurance division, where I gained comprehensive exposure to financial reporting, risk assessment, and internal control systems. I had the opportunity to handle key audit areas independently, interact with clients, and develop a detailed understanding of business processes across multiple industries.My consistent performance and commitment to client satisfaction were recognized with the “Client Extraordinaire” award, which strengthened my confidence in handling responsibilities with ownership and professionalism.However, while working in audit, I realized my growing interest in understanding how financial insights translate into business decisions — particularly in banking, credit, and corporate finance. To build a more holistic perspective, I decided to pursue my industrial training at DBS Bank in the Institutional Banking Group (IBG).This role is giving me hands-on exposure to corporate lending, relationship management, and credit analysis — helping me connect the dots between financial statements and real-world business strategy.Looking ahead, I aim to leverage my combined experience in audit, finance, and banking to build a career in corporate finance, banking, or consulting, where I can contribute to value creation through both analytical and strategic lenses.
