At the forefront of combined impact assessment, the Economics & Finance team @ IVAC is the bridge between epidemiology, economics, and policy. Scientist at heart, I add to my work an ongoing concern for its relevance at both the policy and individual levels.In partnership with Gavi, WHO, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and partners from the industry, my work covers the expansion of the coverage of medical services in resource-limited settings by: Engaging policymakers in tracking equity when expanding vaccine coverage of routine immunizations, using the VERSE Equity Tool developed at IVAC. Details: https://immunizationeconomics.org/verse-home Managing and coordinating primary data collection in Bangladesh, Uganda, and India to build empirical evidence of the economic burden of diseases on households and the government. Studying the comparative value of immunization and testing policies using traditional and customized methods for economic evaluation. Estimating the economic burden of disease from empirical evidence and modeling (HIV / AIDS, pneumonia, meningitis, measles, dengue fever, gastroenteritis). Developing interactive and accessible learning tools to translate economic, epidemiological, and policy evidence to inform and engage decision-makers in advancing public health.
