Delivering effective team briefings on a daily basis clearly communicating roles and responsibilities and expectations and targets. Also delivering presentations to stakeholders, clients and senior management on current performance and projects. Set SMART goals, and manage individual performance against these goals. Follow up with end of year reviews, ensuring that at all times, employees are fully aware of their performance levels. Use appropriate procedures to manage performance that is below expectations. Maintain own and others Health and Safety at all times, ensuring staff are adequately supervised and promote safe and healthy working practices in working area. Encourage staff to report near misses and hazards and aspire to zero LTI’s whilst actively promoting a pro-active safety culture. Be responsible for identifying future talent, development opportunities and career progression. Ensure all direct reports are adequately trained to undertake their job role. Maintain Skills matrix, ensuring that all skills levels are updated accordingly. Where training is required ensure that this is undertaken following the correct process.Conduct incident / accident investigations thoroughly taking appropriate actions.Management of temporary resource in area ensuring that all temporary personnel are adequately inducted, training and supervised. Daily work allocation ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with Client expectations and standards. Actively encourage input of ideas and suggestions for improvement for Quick Fixes, Kaizens and Operational Projects. Production of daily departmental statistics to present during Operational briefings, and on an ad hoc basis. Manage individual conduct and capability ensuring compliance of all team members. In the event of a breach of policy, ensure appropriate action is taken promptly whilst maintaining a healthy team culture.
