ABOUT GARY MOSKOWITZ
I teach journalism at San Jose State University and edit and mentor early-career journalists with The California Local News Fellowship at UC Berkeley.I\'ve written and reported on music, arts, and culture for The Economist, The New York Times, TIME Magazine, San Francisco Weekly, KQED, The Atlantic, Newsweek, The Village Voice, Spin, San Francisco Magazine, Reasons To Be Cheerful, Red Bulletin Magazine, GRAMMY.com, Dazed & Confused Magazine, and other publications. I\'m a former fellow at Mother Jones Magazine, and previously covered education for The Los Angeles Times community news publications in Glendale and Burbank, California.I\'ve taught journalism courses at UC Berkeley, UCLA, San Francisco State University, Cal State University East Bay, City University London, and The London School of Journalism, as well as public high schools and elementary schools in the Bay Area. I play trumpet and keys with the band RADIO VELOSO.
