ABOUT GARY L.
I am currently a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at Oak Valley Health. I love providing a person-centred care approach to assist patients in recognizing and pursuing their recreation and leisure goals in order to live a full, meaningful life. I hold my R/TRO designation and am a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) On top of my Recreation Therapy Diploma, I have a Bachelor’s degree in Human behaviour as well as a Brain Disorders Certificate. I hope to use my knowledge to better serve the community through therapeutic recreation interventions. I have a recreation therapy skillset to help those in mental and physical health populations. My areas of expertise include: Forensic Mental Health, Program development, stroke care, crisis intervention, mental health support and brain injury rehabilitation.
