About Gary McCully

I am an Offensive Security Specialist with nearly 20 years of experience in Red Teaming, Adversary Emulation, Penetration Testing, and Purple Teaming. I’m especially passionate about applying machine learning to cybersecurity, as well as vulnerability discovery, exploit development, and reverse engineering.I believe strongly in lifelong learning. I hold a PhD in Cyber Operations and an MS in Information Assurance and Cyber Security, along with certifications including CISSP, GXPN, OSCP, CEH, Security+, and GMON.I’ve presented at conferences such as CARS (paper), ISDFS (paper), ISICN (paper), AICS (poster), GrrCon, Notacon, the Central Ohio Infosec Summit, and the Northeast Ohio Information Security Forum. My work has been published in Xplore, Access, Springer, CSO Online, InformationWeek Reports, and (IN)SECURE Magazine.
