About Gary Gex

In addition to my years of legal and compliance experience in private and in-house settings, I have a decade of engineering and management experience in the semiconductor industry. My work with Intel Corporation and Bell Northern Research (a research subsidiary of NorTel) was in hardware engineering, software engineering, factory control and oversight, project management for data systems development, and IT. My core technical areas of expertise are in computer architecture, embedded systems, and data systems. This industry experience, coupled with my wide array of intellectual property and corporate investigations legal experience, enables me to bring a realistic approach to counseling clients.Specialties: Patent litigation, strategy, counseling, compliance, and international portfolio prosecution. Technical subject areas I have worked with include computer systems architecture and software, seismic and electromagnetics systems for the oil and gas industry’s upstream exploration efforts, systems manufacturing, surface mount technology, ISO and quality systems, embedded systems, ultrasound technology, semiconductor technologies, and user interface design.
