In 2010, I established the Design Research group at TD and I have continued to build it up ever since. I have always been a researcher, first doing experiments to understand children\'s cognitive development as an undergrad, before moving on to human-computer interaction in grad school. Never thinking that I would ever work at a bank or that a bank would even need people with this specialized skill set, I was pleasantly surprised to find that my interest in people (what makes them think the way they do, what motivates them to behave the way they behave, and how their lives can be made easier through the design of simple, easy, and desirable experiences with products, services, and technology) aligns perfectly with TD\'s guiding principles.
