My initial engagement was to review the already inflight Transition Programme, from CGI to HCLTech, which included the move of the existing CGI Data Centres a Primary and DR site within Equinix’s Data Centres. In this transitional project I inherited a very high-level plan, which was lacking in the required detail and rigor. We created a detailed plans, went through rehearsals and eventually executing the migration to the new world. This project was delivered to plan with no unplanned impact on the Taylor Wimpey and was deemed a resounding success. In Parallel to the Data Centre transition, we carried out the transition of IT Service from CGI to HCLTech, this involved significant knowledge transfer between the parties and a formal handover of responsibilities to HCLTech. Again the planning and rigor was lacking, so we put the required planning together to ensure a successful outcome, which we achieved and HCLTech are now supporting the Taylor Wimpey estate. Since conclusion of the Transition Programme, I have taken on the role of Transformation Programme Manager, where I have taken on the delivery of a portfolio of 25 projects. We have implemented new governance and controls and are executing these projects to a newly defined scope and timeline. Projects included in the portfolio include, Definition and implementation of a new network to improve connectivity across all business units and sales sites, Implementation of a new data platform to ensure Taylor Wimpey have accurate information and can further embrace AI technologies, a review of their existing application landscape and definition of a 3 year roadmap for delivery including quick win opportunities.
