ABOUT GARY DRECHOU
A Canado-Swiss wordsmith rooted in Vancouver and trained at McGill, I help brands, institutions, and creative teams shape content that resonates — from strategic messaging to poetic nuance. Over the past fifteen years, my path has led through communication, content strategy, e-reputation management and journalism/editorial writing, with articles and columns published in Le Monde, Slate.fr, L’Hebdo, In Vivo Magazine, and Voir.ca, among others. Today, I focus primarily on translation, drawing on a dual background in media and the arts to craft narratives that strike the right tone. As a poetry author (published under the pen name Gaspard Amée), my creative work explores the tension between places and inner landscapes. It has been featured on Radio-Canada, in Prairie Books Now, and in the landmark anthology Poésie franco-ouestienne, 1974–2024 (Éditions du Blé). I currently serve on the reading committee for the 2025 Radio-Canada Poetry Prize.
