Accountable to the Group Executive Committee for governance, control and performance of all customer facing and internal change programmes within the Meggitt PLC portfolio. Delivering financial, schedule, quality, delivery performance and customer satisfaction of all programmes across 16 international business units. Slashed budget overruns by 50%, improved schedule adherence to over 80% and delivered over £50M of annulaised NPV improvement across the portfolio of 85 live programmes. Established the corporate PMO and led the Programme Management Council which provided strategic leadership and direction to Programme and Project Mangers through structured coaching, mentoring, training and development. Defined, implemented and maintained the corporate programme management lifecycle balancing the conflicting requirements of a wide stakeholder group. This resulted in full engagement of all departments across the lifecycle and improved process conformity and adherence. Managed group level programme risks and where necessary provided hands-on intervention to recover underperforming programmes. Worked with and through group and division functional heads to identify and resolve specific programme issues As PM representative on the commercial committee ensured that will bids and proposals were commercially, technically and programmatically viable, and that they were in alignment with the groups strategic goals and objectives. Defined and implemented PM Career Development framework that built the skills and capability of the programme management workforce to meet current and future business needs Functional owner of all programme & project management procedures, processes and tools. Ensured that programme management systems were developed, documented, deployed and continuously improved to meet current and future business needs.
