About Gary Bracken

I have more than 30 years of experience as a corporate communications and marketing professional supporting federal government clients and business to consumer clients developing corporate strategies internally and externally. Prior to entering the civilian market, I served 23+ years in the U.S. Military (USMC & USCG), retiring as a Coast Guard Officer. I held a Top Secret Clearance (investigation valid through 2015) and held clearances throughout my military career. Throughout my career I have led teams ranging from two people to dozens, co-located as well as long distance. I am skilled at strategic and tactical program management and operations planning and have managed budgets in excess of $1 million and led operations funded by multi-million dollar budgets. I have a proven ability to communicate the corporate message both internally and externally as well as generate hard news, feature and editorial coverage to fulfill corporate strategies, and support of event promotion and public affairs objectives. I am also a highly effective media spokesperson for on-camera, radio, and print outlets during difficult situations and an experienced Congressional liaison generating Hill support for corporate/agency strategies.Specialties: Executive and employee communications, community relations activities/planning (e.g Navy Air Force Half Marathon), advertising campaigns in support of capture strategies, media relations, collateral development and editing. Also have extensive experience in emergency operations planning and large-scale operation execution.
