About Gary Abud
Gary Abud, Jr. is an award-winning educator and double cornea transplant recipient who, since having his sight restored, was moved to use his teaching gifts to help others through learning. As an educational consultant, Gary works with K-12, higher-ed, and corporate clients to provide corporate training and staff development, curriculum design, project management, and strategy support. His business not only focuses on the organizational level, but the individual, as he has served as an executive coaching to hundreds of adults and young people to help them be more successful in their personal, professional, and academic lives by setting goals and developing the skills to reach them. Born out of his commitment to help others lead happier, healthier lives, Gary helped to organize and host the Teacher Wellness Summit—the premier personal development event for educators in 2022.He is the author of Science With Scarlett, a children\'s book about a young girl scientist and her teddy bear assistant who do experiments with the reader (available at ScienceWithScarlett.com). Gary lives with his family near Detroit.Previously, Gary has served in education as a science teacher, principal, dean of students, instructional coach, and college faculty. He was named 2014 Teacher of the Year for the state of Michigan. He has spoken at TEDxDetroit, the Michigan Governor\'s Education Summit, and numerous conferences around the country.
