Maintenance Control Function within the Business is to Ensure the Safe and Efficient Operation of T & RS Vehicles In-Service.Working as Part of the Fleet Management Team Responsible for Planning,Co-Ordinating & Allocating Periodic Vehicle Examinations/Inspections,Routine & Ad-Hoc Maintenance and Repairs whilst Ensuring Compliance of the following T & RS Fleets, EMU Fleets Class 31••••••••80 DMU Fleets Class 15••••••••70 HST Fleet Class 43 PC,MK3 LHCS Maintenance Control are a Central Point of Contact for Fleet Operations,Depots & Fleet Engineering.Working Closely and In Collaboration with these Teams are Key to Ensuring the Safe & Efficient Operations of T & RS Vehicles.Maintenance control Ensure the Safety & Reliability of the T & RS Fleet In-Service as well as Monitoring Vehicle Performance and Reliability.Maintenance Control Act as a First point of Contact for Operational Staff, Train Drivers and T & RS Fleet Technicians in the Event of Faults and Defects of T & RS Fleets InService.Providing Engineering Technical Support, Guidance and Advice to Train Drivers and Fleet Technicians in regard to Defect Handling & Rectification of Faults.Ensuring Safe Systems of work,InCompany Policies,Procedures and Rail Best Practices are Implemented & Adhered to at all times. Maintenance Control Lead & Manage in situations such as vehicle Breakdowns, Vehicle Recoveries, Mainline Failures & Technical Incidents regarding ScotRail Rolling Stock Fleets.Monitor Fleet Performance, Fleet Availability,Fleet Delays and Generate Reports Based on Fleet Data.Ensure Continuous Workflow to Maintenance Depots whilst Ensuring Efficiency and Impact on Fleet Availability.Ensure Examinations & Maintenance Activities are Recorded & completed as per SR Standards.Verify Fleet Exam Records & Ensure Fleet Data,Defect Reports and Faults have been Recorded and Completed to the Required standards for Quality Assurance,Compliance purposes and for Audit Purposes.Maintain Technical Competence.
