ABOUT GARY SMITH
A Java Developer with experience of Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, as well as JavaScript and a little React. Daily use of git and Jenkins in a Continuous Integrated, Continuous Delivery programme with AWS on a major Client project using Agile methodologies for the last 18 months have pushed him hard and kept him sharp. A mid career return to software has enabled his technical abilities to be tuned to match his extensive personal management skills and real world engineering experience. Having started writing code for his University Degree project in C back in 1997, he has maintained his commitment to life long learning by the use of VBA, Spring, SQL, Hibernate and Scala. He speaks fluent French and English and has extensive knowledge and experience of tyre manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, quality management and HR management.
