running for the Delegate seat because he is confident that his experiences serving as a community advocate, working in our public schools as well as working in various areas of the public service sector positions him to be the best person to fight for us in Annapolis.A native of Savannah Georgia, Gary moved to Amityville, New York at 12 years old, to be raised by his Aunt Rose and Uncle Jimmy along with their three children. Not only did they teach Gary valuable life skills, but they also taught him the value of serving his community wherever help is needed. His first youth internship was with his local county legislator’s office. It was during that experience Gary decided to pursue political science. Upon completion of high school, he enrolled at Tuskegee University to study political science and criminal justice. Upon his return to New York, he put his education from Tuskegee immediately to use and worked for the Suffolk County New York Board of Elections, Suffolk County Probation Office, and the United States Attorney’s Office (New York Eastern District) Weed and Seed joint law enforcement task force and anti-crime program as their Program DirectorIn 2006, Gary relocated
