Oversee management of Campus infrastructure and building systems on 20 buildings with square feet and 14 parking garages on a 207-acre suburban office campus. Direct a team of professionals who perform engineering, electrical, HVAC and plumbing repairs/maintenance. Maximize the value of the client\'s assets achieving operational and financial goals. Maintain operational oversight and adherence to business plan, budgetary controls, capital planning and oversight of the daily management and operational activities. Provide technical oversight for all projects ensuring work is carried out according to code and building standards and construction documents. Provide technical leadership and management to the entire management team. Recommend and implement critical systems policy and procedures. Manage and reduce energy consumption and report on opportunities for those measures. Develop and maintain training methods, materials, and programs.

ABOUT GARY SCHLOTZHAUER

Gary began his career in the U.S.Navy where he serviced and maintained all shipboard electrical generation, distribution and propulsion systems. He expanded his skills and knowledge of all shipboard engineering systems resulting in the qualifications as the Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW) while underway and Engineering Duty Petty Officer in-port. Upon departing the Navy, he applied his training, skills and leadership to the commercial building industry where he has excelled in developing engineering teams necessary to expertly service and maintain office buildings, shopping centers, industrial, and Healthcare facilities. His drive, professional results and expanding roles culminated in him being fortunate to serve as the Director of Engineering for one of the largest office campuses in North America. Understanding the numerous benefits that continuing education provides to himself and the industry he serves, Gary earned the professional designation of Systems Maintenance Administrator (SMA) from BOMI and enjoys giving back to the industry by regularly teaching or conducting similar learning opportunities to other colleagues. Realizing that energy is often one of the largest, yet most controllable costs affecting commercial buildings, Gary has focused on energy reduction and is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) with nearly 40 years\' experience in both supply and demand side energy reduction and possesses proven, verifiable skills necessary to decrease energy consumption in all aspects of building operations allowing him to provide clients and building owners with countless millions of dollars in aggregate energy savings throughout his career. From his time in the Navy and continuing through the present day, Gary has kept a sharp focus on staff development and training and enjoys allowing others to flourish and develop so they too can excel.
