Exercise established rules, regulations, and legal authorities to enforce specialized personnel access procedures and detect trespassing violations. Ensure the physical security of the building and property, to include the protection and safety of personnel.Provide protection to VIP, to include General Officers, foreign dignitaries and high- ranking members of the Department of Defense. Perform dispatcher duties involving passing of information and directions to other Officers on patrol assignments. Direct work for security guard patrol on a daily basis to prevent and control threats, sabotages and other criminal activities. Direct guard mount and safety briefings. Inspect personnel and government equipment/vehicles for serviceability and compliance with security measures. Make changes in work assignments to maintain security coverage of installation. Develop performance standards and evaluate subordinates work performance. Interview candidates for subordinate security guard positions. Verifies security clearance status through JPAS, and incorporating the clearance information into Access Commander Database for USASOC HQ access control procedures. Possesses essential knowledge of NCIC operations, reference manuals and understands their use and application, and maintain state certification. Processes a variety of NCIC queries and provides timely response as appropriate or required.
