About Gary Oliver

Gary spent 14 years at Dow Plastics in Research and Technical Service and Development before joining Ball Plastics barrier packaging business as Extrusion Engineering Manager and Director of Plastics Engineering. In 1990 Gary joined Cloeren Incorporated where he worked for over 18 years, most recently as Senior Corporate Scientist. Gary joined Extrusion Dies Industries in 2008 as Vice President of Engineering and Technology, and later the Chief Technical Officer. He was responsible for EDI’s Technology Department, EDI’s cross functional Technology Center and Lab, Engineering Department, and new product and process development. Gary is a senior member of The Society of Plastics Engineers, and the past Chairman of the Extrusion Division Board of Directors. Gary was course director for Coextrusion Technology for the Center for Professional Advancement for 10 years. He was the 2013 recipient of the SPE Extrusion Division Jack Barney Award for his contributions to the sheet industry. Gary was the 2013 recipient of the Distinguished Service Award. Gary received his B.S. from Central Michigan University in Chemistry and Physics.
