About Gary Means
I am a Ph. D. scientist who has worked intensively on the strategic development of biomarker assays for clinical studies (early discovery to late stage studies including potential for in vitro diagnostics). My overall experience has spanned two broad therapeutic areas- inflammatory diseases and cancer- which has allowed me to gain insight and experience covering a wide range of therapeutic modalities. I have had the opportunity to work on studies ranging from targeted kinase inhibitors to antibody inhibitors of receptor function managing teams and scientists involved in clinical biomarker discovery, qualification and implementation at all stages of drug development (Phase 1 – Phase The challenges that arise when moving a set of biomarker assays from local experts to clinical sites are non-trivial. Developing and implementing a wide range of assays in support of clinical trials continues to be a passion that I am using in my current work.
