Key responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable APIs which underpin the BT and EE consumer platforms, ensuring adherence to programming standards and best practices- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, define scope, and establish timelines- Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on technical challenges and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and scalability- Proactively identify and address technical debt and performance bottlenecks to optimise system performance- Collaborate with designers, developers, and QA engineers to define project scope, establish timelines, and ensure alignment with business objectives- Own the technical roadmap, prioritizing features based on value, risk, and dependencies to achieve strategic goals- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers- Oversee performance management, career development, and training initiatives to empower team members and promote professional growth.
