About Gary L. Curry

Gary Curry has groomed himself for this opportunity beginning many years ago. Through his leadership in various companies, he has prepared himself for an event of this prestige and magnitude. Working as a Managing Partner with Gator Trace Inc, a community development project for Fort Pierce Florida, in 2009, he managed the execution of obtaining city permits, assisted in the design of a 500 unit housing community and corresponded with investors. Also, in 2009 Curry was the CEO for Homerun Financial Services Inc, a mortgage lending company in Anaheim California, where he was responsible the management of day to day activities, including all marketing aspects to secure residential loans for the company. Many of his business relationships developed over the years have been secured through mutual respect, trust and transparency. Other Companies, such as GLC productions, based in Greensboro N.C, where he acted as CEO made the way for more experience within the Entertainment business. Under his leadership, GLC booked acclaimed artists, such as, Tyrone Davis, Run DMC, Criss-Cross and the late Whitney Houston. His willingness to collaborate, build long-lasting relationships, along with his sales skills, team building techniques and the ability to delegate responsibilities sets Curry apart from most entrepreneurs. Curry’s vision started with the idea that he would love to see his daughters on the same court in college, like he did in high school which culminated in a state championship in 2021. He also wanted to see women’s basketball gain more respect in the marketplace. For far too long women’s basketball has taken a back seat in respect to TV networks, advertisers, and tournament opportunities. Curry believes if we include women’s basketball along with men’s basketball together in the same arena we may start the process of gaining this respect. Inclusion of women’s basketball along side of men’s basketball is the perfect opportunity to evaluate its demand in the marketplace.
