Retired senior executive with more than 30 years of proven leadership in strategic planning and the successful development and execution of complex corporate initiatives at several major corporations. Hands-on ecommerce and retail experience as the Managing Principal of Diversified eCom International, L.L.C. Extensive understanding of public-company corporate governance, having served on the Board of Directors of Capstone Turbine Corporation from October 2007 to August 2020. Expertise in executive compensation planning and administration, leadership development, senior executive succession planning, Board refresh strategies, and stockholder engagement & investor relations, having served as the Chairman of the Compensation Committee and member of the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee from August 2010 to August 2020. Demonstrated expertise in ESG, the design and implementation of corporate strategies for sustainability, and corporate responsibility, as well as practical experience in corporate policy, government relations, community affairs, marketing, sales, and operations. As Michigan Wing Commander, had responsibility for an organization of 1,100 personnel, a fleet of 10 aircraft and other emergency services and disaster relief assets located across the State. Performed various missions in support of Homeland Security and national & regional disaster first response efforts. Also served as a corporate officer and member of the National Board, the governing body of the organization, interfacing with senior officers and commanders at various levels of the U.S. Air Force. Current duty assignment: Great Lakes Region Inspector General, with oversight of the Inspectors General in the MI, IN, IL, WI, KY, and OH Wings; compliance inspections; complaint resolution and investigations; “whistleblower” complaints; and the prevention, detection, and correction of fraud, waste, and abuse. Team Chief with the National Compliance Inspection Team, responsible for inspections of Wing Headquarters across the U.S.
