I am a performance engineer with leadership experience interested in all aspects of systems performance. I have recently specialized in distributed storage performance at Nutanix.Most recent role- Founding Engineer for Nutanix performance engineering group (2013)- Grew team to ~20 engineers across US, EMEA, India. Promoted two engineers to manager roles- Recruited performance testers and product engineers, founded east coast engineering office- Created Nutanix X-ray product which enables advanced benchmark and resilience testing in distributed storage- Created distributed performance data collection and support analysis tool- Created automated performance ready-reckoner for sales engineers- Contributed to numerous performance improvements in performance and caching- Patent awarded for cache management with disjoint response times- Created and delivered deep-dive training for sales and support engineers globally. In-person and recorded- Multiple time presenter at Nutanix worldwide customer conferences. Voted top session 2018, 2019- Established repeatable methodology for effective competive analyis- Co-Author of the TPCx-HCi benchmark specification. Presented benchmark design at VLDB/TPCTC conference- Active member of the TPCPrior Roles - Performance analyst at NetApp. Worked on long term filesystem performance. SPC-1 and SFS benchmarks - Solaris Kernel and Perforance analyst at Sun Microsystems. Worked on OS performance and kernel panics with Oracle DB workloads and large SMP systems.
