WORK HISTORY
Structures Engineer @Purdue Space Program A Seds Chapter
West Lafayette, IN, US
Built Python-based simulation tools to compute internal structural loads at off-the-rail, max-Q, and recovery - Coupled component-level mass distribution and center-of-mass location across 13 structural sections with NOAA wind gust data to bound loading assumptions using 75th and 90th percentile wind conditions - Developed a 2D rotational dynamics simulation to propagate rocket orientation and velocity through full descent using RK45 integration, extracting worst-case shear, bending, and axial loads at parachute deployment- Exported shear, bending, and axial loads across 13 structural sections and 3 flight stages to support strut sizing and margin of safety calculations- Presented structural loads methodology at CDR using method of sections to capture shear, bending, and axial load distributions along 13 rocket sections across flight phases, confirming max-Q as the limiting load case
