1. Senior Director Support, Technology, and Cloud Solutions

   I was onboarded to Medaptus to direct innovation operations and design operating strategies for the Client Support, Information Technology, and Hosted Solutions departments. To do this, I have successfully guided processes with a focus on efficiency and security in alignment with company goals and department objectives. Lead team that developed new system security policies to ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST, and NIST 800-171 standards. Implemented companywide security training, incident response and business continuance exercises at both the technical and the executive levels, annual dr process testing, and annual vendor audits for compliance.Much of this work involved overseeing annual budgets, applying automation, and transitioning workflows to new services to reduce operating expenses (50%) and shorten upgrade time (65%). I led the team that migrated all hosted operations to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and guided peak-performing teams through change initiatives, tracking the progress of their performance. Together, my teams and I mitigated risks and ensured the availability of services by fusing AWS elastic load balancer (ELB) with web application firewalls (WAF), replicating MySQL boxes, and implementing Redundant Apache Servers across multiple zones to create a highly available SaaS solution. To ensure clear expectations and accountability from internal and external stakeholders (e.g, outsourced software development contracts), I authored and created Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs). I also rewrote system security plans to be NIST 800-171 and HIPAA Compliant and implemented quarterly network security scans & application penetration testing to improve overall security posture.
