I am RSM’s head of pensions in the Midlands region, with 25 experience auditing pension funds. I work with trustees providing assurance on their scheme accounts and internal controls. My clients include master trusts, sectionalised schemes, hybrid arrangements and multi-billion pound investment funds. I have been involved in a number of special projects for pension schemes, including the setup of finance and governance arrangements for a SLP, scheme mergers. the transition of administration and finance, review of finance functions, delivery of AAF Reports and forensic work. I have led a host of assurance projects such as such as detailed benefit reviews, DC unit rectification work, mitigating data breaches, refreshing risk registers, fraud risk reviews and investment cost transparency work. Using my experience in the pensions industry, I have produced practical solutions to industry issues such as the good governance benchmark tool and RSM’s fraud risk toolkit. I have also assisted clients to review their risk registers to ensure they assist in driving trustee businessMy participation and presentations at various industry events ensures my clients always remain up to date with accounting and audit issues affecting their schemes.
