My wife, Naomi, and I founded Safe Child Africa back in 2005 and have supported a wide range of education and child rights projects in the Niger Delta region ever since, working with some incredible people, many that we are proud to now call close family friends. After 8 years away from the charity, working intensively to set up other social enterprises, Naomi and I returned as trustees of the charity in 2020. In my role as chair of trustees of the charity I now focus on the governance of the charity and also effectively act as the Programme Director, working pro-bono to oversee projects on the ground with our Nigerian partners. They are made up of some of the most incredible teachers, activists, lawyers and survivors that one could ever hope to work with. It is our privilege to work with them and support their inspirational work to defend and protect child rights.
