ABOUT GARY FOX

I am a ACMA, CGMA qualified accountant by trade and the Assistant Director of Business and Service Development (GMMH Bolton). I have developed my experience over the last 17 years in associated Management, Financial Systems, Management Accounting and most recently Head of Procurement roles. I primarily deal with business management in the GMMH Bolton District Services. Ensuring and managing financial sustainability, performance, business case and service development acting as the conduit between health commissioners and the delivery of services at GMMH Bolton. The role involves a great deal of change management, ensuring the that the our services offer the best possible care for patients and services users whilst demonstrating real value for money. My background is based in the North West, predominantly at The Christie and Greater Manchester West MH FT and Latterly Greater Manchester Mental Health FT all of which I have been fortunate to work for. Working for organisations that are all leaders in their respective fields has given me considerable scope for learning and development. My role at GMMH is to drive performance management, business planning, strategic service development, review and implement service redesign and to ensure clinical and social care governance is robust and in place. Previous roles have been to implement, manage and develop efficient and productive financial systems trust wide over the past 5 years and I have recently been given an opportunity to redesign and develop the Trust strategic and operational procurement processes after a period of outsourcing. In short, I have been fortunate to have worked for forward thinking people which have provided me with roles with a high degree of autonomy, this has lead to me and my team using our skills in delivering innovative and creative solutions to issues and problems that the Trust and its end users face on a daily basis.
