Church Business Administrator responsible for administering the business affairs and facilities of the church, reporting to the Senior Pastor. Approximately 30 hours per week anticipated.Primary Responsibilities:1. In coordination with the church Treasurer and Financial Secretary, take leadership in preparing, implementing and evaluating the annual business plan for the efficient business operation of the church.2. Maintain business and financial record systems for the church.3. Direct the maintenance and repair programs of church properties; work with the Building & Grounds (B&G) committee to establish a maintenance and repair schedule; supervise daily activities of custodians.4. Work with various church leaders/employees to schedule facilities for regular meetings and special activities.5. Give direction to the daily operation of the church office; supervise administrative staff and volunteer workers as assigned.6. Co-ordinate with specialists as required to ensure the church will be provided proper advice on legal and business matters.7. Serve as purchasing and contract agent for the church; develop effective purchasing policies as needed.8. Assist in maintenance of church staff personnel files; ensure timely payroll administration and management of employee benefit plans.9. Oversee the recruitment, hiring, training and evaluation of administrative and custodial staff as needed, coordinating same with various church ministry committees.10. Maintain effective communication and working relationship with staff, councils and members in promoting effective church and pre-school activities.
