About Gary Easterling

I have worked in lumber manufacturing for over twenty five years. 17 years on the dry end of the business and the last several on the green end. I have managed crews and departments from 20 to 60 personnel. The majority of my experience in lumber has been planer, dry kilns, boiler, and shipping. Drying and planing Douglas Fir, Hemlock, Spruce, and Redwood, and Southern Yellow Pine. My goal has been increasing performance of my personnel and departments and increasing efficiency and up time time. Meeting or exceeding production goals, accurately forecasting production of dry kilns, sawmill and planer and staying on budget. Focusing on Safety, Quality and production. I also have been very successful in employee retention and making strong team members out of weaker members. The past 8 years have been the most enjoyable and fulfilling working in sawmill management. I am a strong believer in teamwork in a team environment. I am a strong communicator and strive for transparency in communication.
