Highly skilled Technical Manager with vast knowledge in construction & detailing. Primary background within Architecture and the built environment (as an architectural technologist) and high level of understanding regarding Civils, Structural & Geotechnical Engineering.A preference for tailoring management styles around colleagues to suit preference, experience, knowledge, etc. Have completed and worked as a line manager for an entire technical department of a tier 1 house builder (next in line for technical directorship).Started and raised 4D Designs, a small architecture company based in London/Essex. Having worked on barn conversions, West London Town house extensions, boat house redevelopments, etc. The attention to detail and eye for visualising problems (and opportunities) brought the company several national awards. —Mindset? I can only describe my mindset as a willingness to be thorough, complete things correctly, utilise analytical thinking and act as devils advocate to myself. By questioning myself, I force myself to find those tough answers. Completing a task not having checked everything which needs checking, bothers me. To bring this to life, it’s like an itch I cannot scratch in my brain, I value doing things properly even if increases my workload, even if I have to work to midnight that day to finish it.That’s how I’d best describe my mentality. And not matter the problem, there’s always a solution (usually within NHBC / Building Regulation grey zones).Thanks for your time.
