Hiya!We’re Memento, an independently owned florist and plant store based on the Ormeau Road in South Belfast. What started as a passion project has grown into a local landmark, nearly 10 years on the Road, 20+ in the industry, and still evolving.To mark the milestone, we opened our new store on Haywood Avenue, lovingly known as our side street jungle. It’s a creative, design-led studio meets store concept, packed with the biggest selection of indoor plants in Northern Ireland, not your average high street flowers, botanical gifts, and brilliant pieces from independent makers.I’ve been very lucky to be custodian of Memento since 2016, shaping a brand that’s rooted in emotional design, bold ideas, and proper community connection. It’s a role I take seriously (and chaotically), and one that’s led to Memento being named Northern Ireland Retailer of the Year (Belfast Telegraph x Retail NI), while I was awarded NI Floristry Managing Director of the Year (SME News 2022).But awards aside, Memento isn’t just a flower shop.We craft floral experiences with feeling and instinct. Our florists don’t follow formulas, and our plant team know their stuff without making you feel daft. It’s a space that’s part florist, part jungle, part creative hub, always experimenting, always moving, and always doing things our way - with heart, humour, and sexy flowers!Because retail should have soul.And flowers? Should come with a bit of attitude.
