As the lead for estates management across the Trust, I am responsible for overseeing all facilities and estates functions across 11 schools (4 secondary and 7 primary). My key responsibilities include:Strategic Leadership:Leading the Trust-wide estates and facilities management strategy, ensuring consistent standards and operational excellence.Health & Safety Management:Driving a proactive and best-practice approach to health and safety, using the Plan–Do–Check–Act framework to support continuous improvement.Statutory Compliance & Maintenance:Ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and implementing a robust Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategy across all sites.Capital Planning & Funding Allocation:Managing estate asset plans to ensure capital funding is allocated effectively and aligned with strategic priorities.Major Project Delivery:Leading the delivery of significant capital projects across the Trust, including:£650k refurbishment of a senior school science block£450k replacement of a highway footbridge£2.2m construction of an 8-classroom teaching block£600k roof replacement programme£1.5m fenestration upgrade in an operational senior school block£250k fire door replacement across a school£15m multi-school RAAC replacement programme£1.5m Trust-wide boiler replacement programme£3.6m construction of a sixth form block at a senior schoolOperational Support:Providing guidance and support to premises teams for minor works and day-to-day operational issues.Team Leadership:Line management of all estates staff across the Trust, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.Contract Management:Overseeing procurement and contract management to ensure best value and service quality across all estates-related services.Sustainability & Net Zero Strategy:Leading the development of the Trust’s journey toward net zero, embedding sustainability into estate planning and operations.
