In this position, I will represent Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and work with its workforce partners in the development and maintenance of business relationships within Region 1 (Clackamas, Clatsop, Columbia, Multnomah, Washington, and Yamhill counties). As part of the VR Workforce and Youth team, business engagement efforts will focus on identifying the workforce development needs of regional businesses and industries to identify specific jobs, career paths, and opportunities that VR clients can help fill. Gaining an understanding of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and required credentials/licenses needed to qualify for the positions that need to be filled will help VR create paths and opportunities to obtain them. I will serve as VR and its partners\' liaison, working directly with employers in an ongoing basis, exploring program development options and actively problem-solving issues as they arise.
