Develop and facilitate safety, security & emergency preparedness training courses designed to inform Rock Hill Schools District employees and students of important life-safety information, skills, and techniques. Contribute to the development of live, web-based, video, and train-the-trainer programs for personnel in alignment with the strategic vision for the Safety, Security & Emergency Management Department. • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of effective curriculum and instructional materials for safety, security & emergency preparedness courses for district personnel.• Coordinates the continued development of a comprehensive emergency preparedness plan for the district to protect the school community during a crisis or emergency.• Designs, develops, and implements instructional programs that inform and instruct the District’s faculty and staff in topics related to campus security, safety, and emergency management.• Coordinates the implementation of the safety plan at each district campus.• Conducts ongoing and annual audits of campus safety.• Create and conduct emergency drills and exercises for school-based faculty and staff.• Proactively lead and participate in ways to increase the overall safety performance of the facility.• Works actively and cooperatively with the leadership and staff coordinating secure campus programs.• Facilitate school programs that instruct students about natural and man-made dangers and disasters.• Consults with individual schools on safety and security related issues with special school and sportingevents.• Remain abreast of developing training trends and techniques.• Employ a variety of instructional methods to educate and inform staff of safety, security, and emergency preparedness measures, including in-person, self-study, and virtual.
