Gary has over 25 years’ experience in the oil industry. Currently he is Shell’s Senior Wellsite Geologist on for Penguins campaign, whilst also mentoring Shell graduates offshore, focusing on Risk Assessment, HSE and DE & I. He has worked in Australia, East Timor, New Zealand, Bulgaria, India and Kazakhstan and the UK / North Sea.• Safety Leader• Experience includes depleted reservoirs, HPHT wells, high angle wells, pore pressure prediction• All aspects of MWD/LWD data analysis and cuttings descriptions.• Highly experienced in training & mentoring junior staff members.• Author and presenter of 4 Halliburton Training Courses: • Basic Mud Logging • Data Engineering • Gas Analysis and • Pore Pressure AnalysisI am highly attuned to cultural nuances; having resided in Brazil and worked in many non-English speaking countries.
