I have been very blessed to have the most wonderful Mentors in the PM arena to work with and learn from. Mr. Tony Pitchford at SNC Lavalin & Worley Parsons, Mr. Tommy Bennett, Mr. Rodger Ramsey and my current PM Director, Mr. Mike Allen, all Mustangers. A special \"Thanks\" go to Mr. Jack Belden who was my Piping Director for so many years. Each of these gentleman have demonstrated the highest ethical and professional conduct one could ever imagine.A lot of people in the Industry claim to be something such as the smartest, most brilliant, etc. I, like most, continually examine and assess my own performance. I am not an Engineer by education. I have a degree in Pre-Law, and I have a tendency to be aware of the legal aspects of Project Management (particularly Liability) of both our Engineering firm and our Clients, and a responsibility to keep all safe.While working in California, I had reasons to question my effectiveness in relating with the 52 person engineering group that I was inserted into as Engineering Office Manager. It was at this point I realized that my major strengths were in bringing a group of people together, forming a cohesive design team and presenting the deliverables to the client in both a timely and cost effective manner. I believe this is what my Mentors wanted me to learn.I will be taking a leave of absence from the industry in May for some travel time with my wife and perhaps re-enter the workforce at a later date.Thank you to everyone I have worked with during these years, as each of you in your own individual way, have helped to contribute to my success.Regards,Garrick
