About Garrett D. Jennings

I am a Career & Technical Education educator and work-based learning practitioner based in Yonkers, NY, with a focus on building and scaling career pathways that connect learning to real workforce outcomes. While my instructional background is in graphic design and visual communication, my core expertise is in employability skill development, work-based learning design, and systems that support student transitions into postsecondary education and careers.I have designed and led CTE-aligned programs where students leave with portfolios, résumés, professional habits, and the confidence to navigate real workplaces. Much of my work centers on supporting students with IEPs and students from historically under-resourced communities, where the challenge is rarely talent, but access and alignment.I am seeking an Associate CTE Director or Pathways Leadership role where I can support program implementation across schools, strengthen employer and postsecondary partnerships, and help districts build sustainable, equitable work-based learning systems. I am particularly interested in roles that sit at the intersection of CTE, workforce development, and systems-level program design.
