ABOUT GARRETT DAMORE

I am a technical leader, architect, and implementor, with experience at all levels in the stack: kernel, device drivers, management plane, networking, and cloud orchestration. I have built and led world-class international development teams, designed award winning and record setting products. I\'m also the founder of the illumos open source operating system project, and a frequent contributor there. I\'m also the principle author and maintainer for a number of messaging (nanomsg, mangos) products and a variety of other widely used open source projects.Specialties: Kernel, embedded systems, and device driver development. Storage networking and storage virtualization. Systems management software for deployment at scale.High level systems architecture. Technical team leadership.I\'m seeking a position that will allow me to utilize my extensive experience and expertise - systems architecture, low-level kernel and embedded systems, cloud orchestration, low level networking - to lead (building if needed) a high performing team to deliver amazing products. I enjoy hands on work, but I think my real potential is to leverage my considerable background to mentor and lead a larger team to success.
