I am a patent attorney at Wilson Sonsini where I work on litigation of issued patents before the PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board), both with petitions challenging patents and with counterarguments defending patents. I also work with clients to draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office).I received my Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Manchester where I researched mimetic carbohydrate-based inhibitors of heparanase, which is an enzyme upregulated in most forms of cancer. Following a 6-month postdoctoral position in the same group, I served as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at Stanford University before beginning work with WSGR.
