Garrett is an Economic Geologist, Mineral Economist, and Natural Resources Advisor specializing in the financial aspects of mineral resource and mining operations. His expertise spans exploration, extraction, and investment analysis. He has experience developing geological deposit models, operational monitoring methodologies, extractive industry management strategies, capital project advisory, M&A due diligence, and digital operations technology. Dr. Gissler has been involved in multiple successful resource, discovery, expansion, and reserve conversion efforts at properties in the U.S. and Mexico and has consulted natural resources clients for aspects of technical, management, and physical/financial risk. Dr. Gissler is a former Equity Research Analyst in the Bank of Montreal’s Capital Markets group covering energy and materials industries. He also served as a geology subject matter expert, utilizing machine learning applications in exploration at IBM. His technical skillset includes financial modelling/forecasting, geologic modeling, exploration, geochemistry, groundwater modelling, sampling, and ore control. He has worked with various commodities and resource companies, including those involved in precious metals, base metals, trona, phosphates, water, oil, gas, NGLs, and fly ash. Dr. Gissler has familiarity with multiple deposit types, including porphyry, skarn, vein-hosted epithermal, and volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) deposits. He approaches his work using multidisciplinary analytical thinking, organization, and clear communication, drawing on experience in developing strategies by evaluating regulated resource reports, projects, and operational plans.
