A generation removed from poverty, I am driven to build a just and fair economy where everyone has a shot at success. I started my career working in community economic development in the Mississippi Delta, southern India, and Latin America. Now, as President and CEO of the Maine Center for Economic Policy, I get to work with amazing colleagues and partners every day to improve the lives of low- and moderate-income Mainers by pairing rigorous economic analysis with strategic engagement in the policy making process. Coaching high school cross country and track is my side-hustle that allows me to stay connected to my local community as a mentor to over 100 teenagers each year.
