About Garrett Cottrell
I\'m a software developer who started my career in sales, working with a number of startup companies and loved the fast-paced, all-hands-on-deck environment that this role provided. While working in sales, I interacted with a lot of engineers and eventually came across a weekend course covering an introduction to Ruby, which led me to spend the past year going back to school and immersing myself in back-end development, with a heavy focus on app-development, github workflows, TDD, MySQL, ActiveRecord and API development and consumption. Moving forward, my ideal role is a back-end engineering role with some access to client interaction and cross-functional collaboration on feature development. Ultimately, I\'m looking for a company that is equally as passionate as I am about solving dynamic human-programs as well as solving complex engineering puzzles - to me, this is the crux of why I\'ve found a passion for development and what I hope to apply in any new role.You can reach me at: g••••••••@gmail.com
