Since 2012, Garrett served as Chairman, CEO, COO and Co-founder of Asseta, Inc, a venture backed B2B marketplace for manufacturing equipment and spare parts. Asseta provides leading semiconductor manufacturers a safe and efficient platform to buy and sell their excess assets. At Asseta, Garrett’s role included fundraising from premier investors such as Y Combinator, Andreesen Horowitz, General Catalyst, and Red Swan Ventures, and additional responsibilities included business development, marketing strategy, and customer acquisition, as well as overseeing global sales with Fortune companies including GlobalFoundries, Texas Instruments, ON Semiconductor, and Microchip. From 2011 to 2012, Garrett was a Capital Asset Trader for CAE, an equipment brokerage firm based in Redwood City, California. While with CAE, Garrett consistently ranked in the top 10% of traders month over month, and it was here that he developed relationships with top global semiconductor manufacturers, compelling him to found Asseta, Inc. From 2010 to 2011, Garrett was an Inside Sales Associate for San Francisco-based Trulia (acquired by Zillow Group), a leading real estate database that offers for-sale and rental listings and connects prospective buyers with listing agents. Garrett received a B.A. degree in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was also a member of the Golden Bears nationally ranked crew team.
