The Ohio University Fixed Income Management Group is a student-led organization that oversees a $3.2 million portfolio of investment-grade fixed-income securities, utilizing the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. Aggregate Bond Index as a benchmark. In my role as a portfolio manager within the group, my responsibilities include analyzing market trends, rebalance treasury positions, stay up to date on portfolio companies, and provide guidance on constructing the portfolio in order to identify attractive investment opportunities to generate excess returns compared to the Agg. OUFIMG has equipped me with valuable expertise in security analysis, portfolio strategy, and the utilization of Bloomberg Terminals, which has prepared me to explore the finance industry for opportunities.
