ABOUT GARRET MOORE
I have been in the campus law enforcement/security field for 27 years having had experience at both large state institutions and small private colleges. I have developed invaluable professional contacts and have been involved in local, national, and international professional organizations in my field. My goal has always been to provide a comprehensive safety, security and risk management office that is responsive to the community in which it serves. I feel it is the responsibility of this office to educate students to make good choices in their own safety and well being.Specialties: I have conducted Security Site surveys for private and public entities. I have provided Human Relations training to law enforcement and security departments in the areas of Sexual Harassment, Diversity and Gender issues. I have reshaped the way in which emergency preparedness is viewed by Denison and created the Emergency Preparedness Work Group made up of stakeholders to monthly assist in continually improving our efforts in crisis management. I have conducted Emergency Preparedness exercises on campus and have included local police, fire and ambulance teams to participate in the exercises.
